Many companies are facing economical challenges these days. Based on innovative products as well as customer-oriented solutions around financing and service, DMG MORI has expanded its economic stimulus package in order to support the manufacturing industry in a targeted and future-oriented manner, especially during this period. The focus topics on the production side are solutions for automated and digitized production. The unmanned capacity increase and holistically digitized processes from order entry to CNC machining to assembly and logistics contribute to long-term competitiveness. In addition, DMG MORI supports their customers with attractive financing solutions and service offers that ensure liquidity and carefree production.
Future-proof production with automation solutions ex works
The broad automation portfolio of DMG MORI comprises 52 products including interfaces, so that almost every machine tool can work autonomously. “With this, we serve the clear trend towards the complete automation of manufacturing processes,” Markus Rehm says, Managing Director of DECKEL MAHO Seebach GmbH and DMG MORI HEITEC GmbH. DMG MORI has developed various gantry loaders and robot solutions for handling workpieces. Numerous turning centers from the CLX and CTX series, as well as models from the NLX, NTX and NZX series can be equipped and retrofitted with the Robo2Go. The highly flexible robot solution is designed for small to medium batch sizes and can be taught in less than 15 minutes using a predefined programming mask.
In the area of pallet handling, circular and linear storage systems are available, depending on the machining center. The PH CELL presented at the last Open House is a circular storage solution for the vertical CMX V and DMC V models as well as a wide range of 5-axis machines from the DMU 50 3rd Generation to DMU monoBLOCK and DMU eVo models to the DMU 90 P duoBLOCK – to name just a few examples. The modular pallet handling system offers space for up to 40 pallets with a footprint of only 10.7 m². It can be retrofitted for machines with an automation interface and can also be expanded at any time by adding a second shelf module.
my DMG MORI and WERKBLiQ: Platform for service and maintenance
“The use of the online service portal my DMG MORI enables faster help and absolute transparency in the event of a service call – free of charge,” Dr. Thomas Froitzheim, Managing Director of DMG MORI Global Service GmbH, emphasizes. Since EMO 2019, tens of thousands of customers have already registered. Service requests can be started via my DMG MORI virtually at the push of a button using an interactive request form. Specified service requests with optionally attached photos or videos are sent directly to the right DMG MORI service expert. Meanwhile, transparency of all service processes ensures faster procedures. Even spare parts orders can be tracked to the minute. All commercial and technical documents are stored in my DMG MORI. With the free use of my DMG MORI, customers have access to a 30-day test of WERKBLiQ. my DMG MORI and WERKBLiQ have been developed according to the same logic. As a result, all internal and external service and maintenance processes for the entire (heterogeneous) machine park can be optimized with WERKBLiQ. All master data and functions from my DMG MORI are automatically available in WERKBLiQ.
Maximum availability with the DIGITAL MANUFACTURING PACKAGE
my DMG MORI is part of the DIGITAL MANUFACTURING PACKAGE, with which DMG MORI considerably increases the availability of production. It is based on the consistent networking of DMG MORI machines via the IoTconnector and the latest version of CELOS, the APP-based control and operating system. The Messenger visualizes the status of all networked machines and realizes a 30-minute higher machine utilization per week. Meanwhile, the NETservice can reduce downtimes enormously, because direct remote communication with the DMG MORI Service solves up to 30 percent of unexpected service cases without a technician on site.
With TULIP to your own APP – without programming knowledge
TULIP offers a further step towards digitization. On a no-code platform, TULIP provides creative and simple digital tools that allow customers to write their own personal script of digitization – without any IT or programming skills. Just like a modular director's kit, the TULIP platform allows you to describe and visualize every single scene of a process with existing or self-created APPs. In addition, where necessary, certain scenarios can be linked via “drag & drop” to key figures from digital sensors, measuring devices and machines. Gradually, this creates an interactive “roadmap” that accompanies the employee through the work and guides him at result-relevant control points to carry out a measurement or test. The visualization takes place via a separate screen at the workstation or directly (via APPLICATION CONNECTOR from CELOS) on the control screen.
First earn money, then pay
DMG MORI Finance** or Deutsche Leasing** finance machines worth more than 300 million Euros each year. From leasing and instalment purchase to rental, customers always find a solution tailored to their individual requirements – all from a single source. DMG MORI supports its customers throughout the entire process.
In cooperation with DMG MORI Finance and Deutsche Leasing, a special top-seller campaign was developed as part of this economic stimulus package. Up to 31 December 2020, 41 different machine models can be financed without down payment and without instalment payments in the first six months (34 machines with Deutsche Leasing, available until 30.09.2020). Examples of this are the NLX 2500 as a turning center and the 5-axis milling machine DMU 50 3rd generation – two of the most successful DMG MORI models. For Markus Piber, Divisional Director of Sales, Service and Technology Excellence, the benefit is obvious: “This way our customers can earn money before they pay anything at all.”
Professional maintenance with price advantage
DMG MORI’s Maintenance Plus Program is a maintenance agreement at a special price. It also includes a discount on recommended repairs to the machine resulting from the maintenance. Another advantage is that maintenance is carried out by absolute service professionals. Thus, customers are able to increase performance for existing machines
Increase performance and maintain value with retrofit for existing machines
For existing machines, DMG MORI offers a machine overhaul service. Retrofitting older models is particularly worthwhile in times of free capacities. With exclusive manufacturer expertise and at attractive costs, DMG MORI takes over all steps from the recording of the actual condition of the machine up to its re-commissioning dismantling and removal, disassembly and cleaning as well as the overhaul of the components. After the machine has been restored to 100 percent functionality, cleaning and painting, a test run and acceptance take place. This enables customers to significantly increase the performance of existing machines and maintain their value. DMG MORI also provides a six-month warranty on the entire scope of services, including spare parts.
DMG MORI Academy: 32 online training courses – live, digital and interactive
The DMG MORI Economic Campaign also includes training courses offered by the DMG MORI Academy. With this service, the machine tool manufacturer has been guaranteeing training and further education at its customers for many years. Particularly in the current situation, 32 online training courses can guarantee a perfect training environment – live, digital and interactive. Small groups ensure a high level of interaction with experienced trainers. Digital training documents and a comprehensive control software package are included. To ensure that the next generation is also equally supported, the DMG MORI Academy has put together training packages in the form of the CTX alpha 500 and DMU 50 2nd generation.
Summer offers: invest in time
Many companies come out of a crisis successfully because they invested in production in good time. DMG MORI rounds off their economic campaign with attractive offers in its product portfolio. More than 750 new machines, showroom machines or used machines are available via CNC-Scout. The warranty is 18 months, twelve months and six months respectively. From CLX turning centers to the DMU monoBLOCK 5-axis universal machines, the range includes a representative cross-section from the DMG MORI product range. “Customers will find the most modern machine tools at attractive prices here,” Markus Piber says about the range. “Of course, we also have attractive leasing offers here with six instalment free months at the beginning of the term and without down payment.”
